Exam Booking Guidance / Re: Resits
« on: September 13, 2019, 02:39:34 am »
Hi Maria,

The professional qualification is part of the programme and has to be obtained.

Where a student fails, they will need to resit. Simple.

The tricky bit, is how they do that.

As I understand it, the funding for each qualification and client is different.

This means that there may be certain hoops and hurdles that the learner has to satisfy.

For example, Aon CFA fails, they had to rebook their CFA exam from their own pocket and then reclaim via Aons internal expense policy.

When the time arises, reach out to Sara to see exactly what the process is for that particular client.

121 Learner / Line Manager Forms / Re: New 121 Form: Preamble
« on: September 09, 2019, 01:46:25 pm »
Hi Maria - it doesn't look like this question relates to the preamble?

Select the right post. The form is broken down by each box to keep the conversation on point.

DSW End Point Assessment / Re: Reference Table
« on: September 06, 2019, 04:21:57 am »
Hi all,

"I have put together a sample of how we would expect the referencing table to be completed, please see attached.

The requirements outlined in the portfolio referencing table come directly from the assessment plan therefore we require evidence to meet each of these specific criteria."

What questions do you have?

e-track / Re: standards progress
« on: September 02, 2019, 10:37:04 am »
Hi Burcu,

Had an initial response from Tammy. I've asked for an example as I still can't work it out...

"The weightings on e-track are calculated on a scale of 5-1:

Standard qualification = 5
PQ = 3
FS Eng = 1
FS Maths = 1

There is no weighting set against the SOL or EPA objectives."

Gateway Readiness / Re: What is Gateway?
« on: September 02, 2019, 02:26:35 am »
Hi all,

I’ve included the links for you below.

•   L4 Investment The portfolio contains evidence that is likely to have been completed towards the end of the apprenticeship and will illustrate the application of the knowledge, skills and behaviours within the
        Standard synoptically.

The assessment plan can be found at: https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/media/1883/st0561_senior-investment-commercial-banking-professional_final_publication_may-18.pdf

•   L6 Financial Services Professional The on-programme stage will also require the apprentice to complete a portfolio of evidence that meets the requirements of the learning outcomes (Appendix 1) and the
        apprenticeship standard.

The assessment plan can be found at: https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/media/1511/st0472_financial_services_professional_l6_ap_for_publication_december_2017.pdf

The appendix 1 refers to the Learning Outcomes of the L6 Standard and can be found in the assessment plan in the above link.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Hi Maria - not assessed by the EPA is my reasoning.

I will feedback.

Hi Maria,

My understanding is the planned dates are pre-populated and don't make much sense.

Update the planned dates for when you book them in - this will be a lot less confusing for the learners.

Actual date is when you actually saw them. Hopefully these will be the same date, but things happen.

I hope that helps.

Hi Burcu,

The learner send their email confirmation / screenshot.

We map it and complete it.

Hi Burcu,

This has been driving me crazy - I still can't work it out 100% accurately.

Escalate to mytas.

Hi Maria,

Sure are. Under "files".

Cross reference with the date of the etrack message.

It's not a simple way to pull up previous files and not simple like email, but does work.

Nothing is lost.
