It's a great video - something I have shared with learners too.

Reflective Statements / Re: Example reflective statement
« Last post by SamuelMayes on September 02, 2019, 01:55:11 am »
Hi Maria,

They sure have.

All that we need to do is arrange with Jake at DSW.

CK is currently the first one to go through the process. We're hoping that we can get everything needed / a checklist so that Jake can record the session for all to see.

In the interim, please send a request to a gateway review to me via email.

e-track / Off The Job Training in Etrack
« Last post by Maria Spiteri on August 30, 2019, 02:25:17 am »
Hi

Is there any reason why the calculation of the Off The Job Training section in Etrack doesn't contribute to the learners' overall Standards Progress on the main E-track dashboard? The learners may be progressing well with logging their OTJT, however this is not shown in the overall progress. I'm sure it would be motivating for the learners to include this here as it's part of the requirement to pass the programme.

Many thanks

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours / How many Learning Outcomes?

Do all the learners have a requirement for 35 LO's to be met? I noticed that on e-track for a few of my learners, there are just a few KSB's and not all are being highlighted as against their ILP. Any reason why? Screenshot as below.

Hi

Please can you let me know that in the Etrack Event section, how do you manage the Planned Date prior to the next Learner/Line Manager Review Meeting? I've been told not to change the Planned Date as this should be static, however it's not possible to change the Actual Date until the date of the event and I get an error message if I try to change the Actual Date - see screenshot.

It's confusing for the learners if the Planned Date is not accurate as they have been asking me which date is their next meeting, as it doesn't align with what I've organised in Outlook.

It makes sense to me to just change the Planned Date in E-track so that it's when we have actually arranged to meet, and then confirm the meeting using the Actual Date once the meeting has taken place. It doesn't make sense to me to keep an incorrect date in the Planned Date section.

Please let me know what you think. I've asked Sara who checked with E-track support and they said to change both dates which goes against what I've been advised, i.e not to change the Planned Date.

Many thanks

Gateway Readiness / Re: What is Gateway?

Some questions re DSW meeting and what is actually needed around evidence and approaching Gateway for L7:

(i) for L6/7 the portfolio of K/S/B is not assessed but rather considered as a 'bank of evidence used for the EAP meeting

(ii) That it would be sufficient at this level to have ~3-4 write ups that show how the learner applies and covers all the required KSBs. In fact for them preferable than lots of individual pieces to assess.

(iii) As part of this they would expect there to be a few reflective statements included therein but not one per evidence.

Just wondered if you guys were of a similar understanding or if i had misunderstood on any of these points - thanks in advance

Thanks Sam, that's great and I'm relieved to hear that I've been giving learners the correct guidance.

For those with L4 IOS learners such as myself the link to the assessment plan on the IFATE website is here:
