121 Learner / Line Manager Forms / Re: Stretching Mathematics and English targets

A question that has come up a couple of times (and I have tried to find the answer to???)
Learners in a cohort (such as mine...L4 Investment Operations Specialist - IOC) can be set stretch English targets by virtue of the fact that they are writing up evidence (project write-ups, emails and other written documentation) and therefore spell-checking, formatting etc is fairly straightforward.
however, if there are limited or no Mathematics components on an ongoing or regular basis, then:
- What is the process then?
- How do we test/stretch this maths component if it is not part of their study or learning outcomes focus?
- Do I have to set them tasks specifically related to reaching a certain standard above and beyond what they have already achieved (and are exempted from functional skills English/Maths)?
