« on: September 13, 2019, 02:02:54 am »
Hi

One of my learners has asked what happens if she fails her exam, is there the opportunity to resit? She is doing the L7 Senior Investment/Commercial Banking - Chartered CFA L2-3

Thanks

121 Learner / Line Manager Forms / Re: New 121: Box 9
« on: September 11, 2019, 09:11:50 am »
Thanks I can do that as it's easy but will anyone question the validity of it in this way? Also the learners are questioning how to sign it and whether it's ok to sign it in the same way as there's no timestamp.

Regards

Maria

Hi thanks for the new form. Are we just signing it by entering our name and dating it on the form, as there isn't the timestamp functionality on this version?

Many thanks

DSW End Point Assessment / Re: Reference Table
« on: September 03, 2019, 09:06:38 am »
Hi

Some of my L4 learners will be going into Gateway from 1st November and I'm meeting them next week so I want to start preparing them to ensure they have everything they need for this.

I want to tell them to start completing their Referencing Tables alongside their Reflective Statements and Evidence so that they compile this together as you suggest, to keep track of progress.

I have given all my learners a list of the KSBs with their codes in an Excel file, taken from Etrack and the numbering on the Referencing Table from DSW doesn't fully line up to what's in E-track, so can I use the Excel document I gave them to ensure all KSBs have been met? I have attached the Excel file I have been sending out to the learners.

Do you have any examples of completed or partially completed Referencing Tables? And is there a specific standard that they are expecting? What do you recommend?

Many thanks

Hi Sam

Yes that's what I was doing and was told I shouldn't be changing the Planned Date, which doesn't make sense.

I'll continue doing this then.

e-track / Off The Job Training in Etrack
« on: August 30, 2019, 02:25:17 am »
Hi

Is there any reason why the calculation of the Off The Job Training section in Etrack doesn't contribute to the learners' overall Standards Progress on the main E-track dashboard? The learners may be progressing well with logging their OTJT, however this is not shown in the overall progress. I'm sure it would be motivating for the learners to include this here as it's part of the requirement to pass the programme.

Many thanks

Hi

Please can you let me know that in the Etrack Event section, how do you manage the Planned Date prior to the next Learner/Line Manager Review Meeting? I've been told not to change the Planned Date as this should be static, however it's not possible to change the Actual Date until the date of the event and I get an error message if I try to change the Actual Date - see screenshot.

It's confusing for the learners if the Planned Date is not accurate as they have been asking me which date is their next meeting, as it doesn't align with what I've organised in Outlook.

It makes sense to me to just change the Planned Date in E-track so that it's when we have actually arranged to meet, and then confirm the meeting using the Actual Date once the meeting has taken place. It doesn't make sense to me to keep an incorrect date in the Planned Date section.

Please let me know what you think. I've asked Sara who checked with E-track support and they said to change both dates which goes against what I've been advised, i.e not to change the Planned Date.

Many thanks

Hi Sam

My learners have submitted messages that have been lost. I suspect this is because the messages were sent to previous Skills Coaches. Can any previous messages that have been sent to Skills Coaches who have left be retrieved at al or visible to the current Skills Coachl?

Many thanks.

DSW End Point Assessment / Re: Reference Table

Hi,

Should the learners be working on their Reference Tables now or is this done at Gateway? Some of my learners have Gateway starting in November, so want to check if this needs to be complete prior to Gateway.

Thanks

Hi I've been giving my learners this E-track video which shows you how to add Off The Job Training (OTJT), and have also been going through the OTJT during the 121 sessions with the learners:
